"Dollywood Bound" Benefit in Honour Of Leesa Roleck Leesa was born with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. She also has a condition called chiari malformation type 2. These issues are causing the nerves in her brain to shut down which is affecting her hearing, sight, speech, and her ability to swallow. Leesa is terminally ill and her long time dream has been to meet Dolly Parton. Dolly has arranged to meet her in person at the Dollywood Park in Tennessee but it is quite costly to travel there. Please come out and support us in raising the funds to send Leesa to meet the person she calls her "guardian angel." Family Fun Day There will be a Family Fun Day on February 20th from 11am to 4:30pm at the North McIntyre Rec Centre, 2051 Government Road. The activities begin at 11am. There will be all day skating with skating skills competition, broomball, snowshoeing, nail hammering, bingo, crafts, games, face painting, shuffleboard, board games and more. Also there will be a Bounce Productions Dance demo and Instruction. The McIntyre Cuties broomball game is from 3:15 to 4pm. Come and enjoy homemade perogies, chili, hotdogs and chili dogs. There are participation prizes! |

Consortium Aurora Borealis Concert: All-Vivaldi Venetian Extravaganza Consortium Aurora Borealis concludes its 33rd season with "An All-Vivaldi Venetian Extravaganza", an evening of vivacious concertos by a much-loved Italian Baroque composer, for flute, oboe, violin, sopranino recorder, cello and bassoon. Soloists Doris Dungan, Colleen Kennedy, Jennifer Bryan, Birgit Rieck, Anthony Bacon, and Karine Breton perform with string ensemble and harpsichord. Gifted young violinist Gregory Lewis, who discovered the joys of music exactly 11 years ago at a Consortium concert at age 4, makes his debut with us, playing the very concerto that performed the magic for him!
